We collect information that helps us provide, improve, and safeguard your experience in the app and within the community. This includes:

Personal Details

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Time of birth
  • Place of birth
  • Geographical location
  • Gender
  • Email address
  • Username
  • Profile photo (uploaded by user)

Mandala Activity

  • Your role in each mandala
  • Your gift as a Magus (a record of each gift you give)
  • Number of active mandalas you are part of
  • Number of completed mandalas as a Magus
  • Dates when you gifted the Magus as a Novice, when you gifted your Magus gift to mandala members, and when you gifted $8.88 to the Magical Heart Mandala
  • Time it takes for each mandala to complete its cycle

What Data Is Required to Operate the App

To make the app function properly, we collect and store:

  • Full name
  • Geographical location
  • Username
  • Password
  • Email address
  • Your Magus gifts
  • Your mandala history
  • Timing of gifts and mandala completions

What We Do With Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Operate the app and support its core functions
  • Communicate with you (updates, newsletters, reminders, etc.)
  • Improve your experience through analytics and user feedback
  • Provide internal research to help us evolve our offerings
  • Support customer service and mandala cycle tracking
  • Foster safety, prevent fraud, and enforce community guidelines
  • Send newsletters and community updates (if you opt-in)

We Do Not

  • Sell your personal data to any third parties.

We May

If you subscribe to the Be The Love, Be The Change newsletter, you may also receive updates from its sister brands.

  • Share limited data with trusted service providers (e.g., accountants, attorneys)
  • Share data when legally required by government authorities
  • Share data with our parent company Be The Love, Be The Change, and its sister companies Alma de Madre and TBD, only for internal communications (e.g., newsletters, community updates)

Research & Development

We may use your data for internal research, surveys, or product testing to help improve the app and our community. If needed, a trusted third-party research provider may be brought in — but only for app-related research purposes. Your data will not be sold, misused, or repurposed.

How Long We Store Your Data

  • App-required data: stored as long as your account is active
  • Research-related data: stored for 18 months
  • If you cancel your membership, we retain your data for up to 1 year, after which it will be permanently deleted.

All data is stored securely using encrypted infrastructure through our cloud service provider.

Who Owns Your Data

You do. While you’re a member of our community, your data belongs to you. We simply use and protect it according to this policy and in service of the mandala’s mission.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Opt out of The Magical Heart Mandala newsletter
  • Opt out of the Be The Love, Be The Change newsletter
  • Opt out of marketing materials from Be The Love, Be The Change and its sister companies
  • Request access to your stored data
  • Request data correction or deletion

How We Protect Your Data

We employ a combination of technical safeguards and internal policies to ensure your data is:

  • Stored securely

  • Processed lawfully and ethically
